How Reality is supported financially
About 65% of Reality's income comes from grant-making Trusts and Foundations. For a list of these, see our Funders page.
A further 19% comes from fees charged to social work departments and other referrers, for each young person referred to us for a Reality adventure break.
In 2009/10, we received government grants which made up a further 4% of our income.
Finally, we also receive valuable support from individual donors, either through one-off gifts or through regular donations. Individuals who give regularly through banker's order make up our Reality 100 Club. In 2009/10, individual donations and regular giving through the Reality 100 Club, together with donations from a small number of companies, accounted for 12% of our income. For a list of supporting companies, please see our Funders page.
If you would like to know more about supporting Reality individually, please see our How to Donate page.

MacRitchie Family
We want to acknowledge the gracious generosity of those folk who kindly donated to Reality as expressions of their relationship to the family of Craig MacRitchie, who sadly died in a road accident just before Christmas 2007.
Donations in Craig's memory are placed into our Young People's Development Fund, which is used towards training young people who have themselves been referred to Reality, to become Junior Leaders.
In memory of Craig, an annual award will be made to a Junior Leader who makes outstanding progress.
